USB memories are now so widely used that they can easily be seen anywhere, and people carry numerous data in USB memories, including official authentication files and text files that are continuously being worked on. Therefore, an MP3 Player with an internal USB port has many more advantages than we can think of, but existing MP3 Players with USB ports had to be thick because of the USB terminal itself, and there were many inconveniences such as having to use a cover to protect the USB terminal and prevent losing the product.

There is an LCD and control board on the front, but what is different is that the control board is not a button board but has a touch system. It is a great advantage design-wise, and the since the buttons are widely spaced out there is not much chance of mis-touching the buttons, but since the product itself is so small, there can be some mis-touches.
The gray cap on the top of the product is supposed to light up like this, as did the YP-U2. If the LED is set to button, the LED lights up every time buttons are touched, giving a better sense of touch, though perhaps not as good as the Prada phone, which vibrates every time buttons are touched. (Of course, it beeps every time buttons are touched, too.)
As you can see from the picture above, the product comes in a variety of colors. The product line-up is made of products that are white, black, shrek color, sky blue and pink. I have used all five products, and the white and black products were good to use normally, and pink, blue and green were colors of a slight fluorescent tone that stands out, to go well as an accessory at places like the beach.

There is a hook to link a strap at the top part of the back of the product, and a microphone to the right of that. The Yepp YP-U2 before this product had a huge error of having the earphones plug hole on the side, but the U3 has listened to the demands of customers and moved the earphones hole and strap hook all to the top. It is clear the makers thought hard about how to take care of the earphones hole and strap hook.
On the left, there is a Hold switch on the upper part and a USB In/Out switch on the lower part. I mentioned that the USB port was internal, and those who wondered about the USB port because it could not be seen, will probably say, Aha!
The white line that kept on catching your eye at the bottom part, that is the internal USB terminal.

If you push the USB In/Out switch to the front, the internal USB terminal pops out like a jackknife. The terminal stays secure once it pops out, and goes back in if you press the USB switch in.
Since a USB terminal is included internally in the product, this means the user can send and receive data and charge the product anywhere there is a PC, even without a cable. And since vehicle cell phone chargers mostly consist of a USB form jack charger and cable, almost all cars now have USB chargers, and so the product can be charged inside the car, too.

There are two buttons on the right. One is an On-Off switch if pressed for a long time, and a play and pause button if pressed for a short time. The other is a record button if pressed for a long time, and a user button if pressed for a short time.

As mentioned before, the earphones port is positioned on the top of the product.
The previous product before this one, the U2, gave the use a hard time when trying to wear it around the neck because the earphones port was on the side, but now that it is on the top, a smooth line is formed when worn around the neck or clipped somewhere.
Packaging
The product comes in an extremely casual design package, unlike other products of the Yepp series. The product, earphone, earphone cord and cord binder are exposed in the front, and it is all contained in a transparent plastic case. However, this case is not secured with a clip, but with see-through tape! Since tape is damaged easily, there will probably be a problem when re-containing the product.
An 8cm mini-CD installation disk and small manual are included with the product. The specific manual comes in the form of a PDF file, in the installation disk.
And earphone line binder, the same color as that of the product, comes in the basic package, too. The EP-360 line that is provided in a bundle is extremely long, so many U2 users actually rolled up the line and tied it up, but this problem now seems to have been solved with the line binder. I can tell a lot of the demands of users who claimed inconveniences have been reflected, by changing position of the earphones port, and providing a line binder, etc.

The EP-360 earphones that have been provided with existing Yepp products are included in a bundle, and the lower part of the earphones color matches the color of the product. However, the earphone is still a balanced type(a Y form, where both side lines are the same length). I personally prefer the unbalanced type(a y form, where the right line is longer than the left line, to wear around the back of the neck), so it is a pity for me that Yepp bundle earphones insist on continuously using the balanced type.
A clear clip to hook on to the back of the product is included. It is not made of hard material and breaks easily, so it does not seem to work well for thick clothes or bags, etc.
Function
The main functions are music playing, FM radio and voice recording. Considering the fact that the price of a 1GB U3 is around 70,000 KRW, this product s competitors are iPod shuffle or the m-Player of iRiver that was released a few days ago, but this is the only product with an LCD and USB port, or that supports FM radio and voice recording, making it an extremely attractive product.
Battery Test
The battery time when the product is set to normal sound effect and plays a 192kbps mp3 file at volume 20 (max 40), is 15 hours according to spec, and actual battery time sticks to the spec. Considering that sound effects are adapted and the volume is turned up higher during actual use, actual battery time is around 10~12 hours, and even considering the slim product size and that it can be recharged easily with the internal USB terminal, it is a battery time that could do a little better.
General Review

Makers have put enough thought in to this product to consider the earphone line binder and different packaging, but the short battery time, and the fact that necklace-type line has to be bought separately, and the packaging sealing method was insufficient, leaves a few points to be desired.
However, despite it being a middle to cheap product with a release price at around 60,000 KRW, and a current sales price of 70,000 KRW it has an LCD, voice recorder function, FM radio and User EQ function. It also has an internal USB port for easy file transmission and charging, and since there are now programs that work with a USB memory that contains personal authentication files, Hangeul program, Photoshop program or even Visual Studio, there are great advantages to having an internal USB terminal.
