They say the
Samsung 4 Seasons of Hope charity event, which is the biggest North American
charity event that Samsung Electronics and 4 popular sports and star
distribution companies have been holding together since 2002, was especially
meaningful in June, 2007. This is because it was an event that donated guide
dogs to autistic children who cannot communicate properly with the world.
Autism is a
sort of mental disability where children live in their own world shut off from
reality, where reality looks like a dream, and patients find it hard to
socialize with people, and Autistic children s guide dogs were provided to
help these children communicate with the world. Samsung decided to donate an
autistic children s guide dog called Sammy to the Dan Marino Foundation, a dog
named after Samsung and other U.S. companies.

A product with a configured GUI of the autistic children s guide dog Sammy is being released, and that is the YP-T10. The successor product of the T9 lineup includes DNSe sound fields and Bluetooth 2.0.

The layout of the touch interface is the same as the K3, being a successor of the T9, but an active and cute Sammy appears on the menu like a photograph, and an enjoyable GUI on an interface people are already used to plays the role of telling the user where he or she is and can be seen even when listening to music or for each submenu. I hope al users will try listening to music with the Sammy interface. Sammy appears in sunglasses and plays the guitar and jumps, and the seeing Sammy have fun on each of the main menus gives the user fun, too.
Sammy is a piece of happiness in the 2 inch QVGA LED, and the 320x240 size screen cleanly supports 30 frame video clips.

Considering the thickness of this product is only 7.9mm, one wonders how it all fits in, but on the bottom of the product is a connection port for USB 2.0 support and power charging, and an earphone connection port. In between is an internal mic part, and this mic supports voice recording, and a connection loop is included next to the earphone connection port.

The functional part on the right is simple. If you press downwards the power comes on or off, and the front part is entirely a touch panel, to there is a hold button to stop malfunction when moving, which you just have to flick up.

The YP-T10 supports Bluetooth 2.0. The photo is one where Bluetooth speakers are set to start playing when Sammy grabs the guitar and starts to play, but you can also listen to music through the Bluetooth BS300 and connect it to a Bluetooth cell phone to answer the phone with the speaker phone even when listening to music.

Another attractive point of the T10 is that you can have it in a variety of colors. It will be released in a total of 5 colors, and it is cool to just get away from simple colors and add a touch of uniqueness, but the bottom and back parts of all the models except for the black one are a silver tone, so it gets extra points for rejecting simple color.

Since the beginning of mankind, music has played a role of being one of the most basic methods of connecting people in various ways and forms, and relaying messages of people. However, it is ironical that as the world had grown diverse, there are people who are isolated, but that is why using a configuration of a guide dog for autistic children, Sammy, as a character in an MP3 player, which is a broadly used digital device, is a heartwarming thing.
